Rehabilitation College Shimane has a variety of systems to eliminate worries about tuition fees and allow you to concentrate on your studies. It is a system that can be used with peace of mind unique to our school without worrying about getting a job.

About various scholarships

1. Admission fee refund system supported by Hamada City
This is a system for new students of our school, and the admission fee of 300,000 yen will be fully refunded after admission.

2.Interest-free scholarship program supported by Hamada City
Scholarships of up to 50,000 yen per month will be provided, taking into consideration the financial situation of the family.
This is a scholarship system for our students backed up by Hamada City. It is interest-free and can be repaid for up to 10 years from the second year after graduation, but if you live or work in Hamada City for at least 5 years as a physical therapist, occupational therapist, or speech pathologist after graduating from our school. , exemption from repayment after the 6th year. In other words, if the requirements are met, 60% of the loan amount will be exempted from repayment.
About 10 new students each year are eligible for this scholarship, and it is possible to use it in conjunction with other scholarships (Japan Student Services Organization, Prefectural Scholarship Association, etc.).

3. Scholarship system
Students with excellent grades will be exempted from the 300,000 yen tuition fee for the second semester. Selections are made every year for each academic year. First-year scholarship students are selected based on their academic performance in the first half of the first year, and second-year and later scholarship students are selected based on their academic performance in the previous year. If you maintain good grades, you can be exempted up to 1.2 million yen for four years.

4. Free clinical practice fee system (student burden 0 yen)
Until now, our school has collected a prescribed amount of clinical practice fees for the 3rd and 4th years (150,000 yen total for 2 years for the department of physical therapy and 180,000 yen for the department of occupational therapy). However, from the 2015 academic year, the burden has been waived by the Hamada City subsidy. Of course, the school bears the outsourcing costs to be paid to the facility that accepts the practical training and insurance premiums for liability insurance during the practical training.

5. Other scholarship programs
Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)
We recommend "reservation recruitment", which allows you to apply while still in high school. As a general rule, applications for "Reservation Recruitment" are made every spring (around September in some cases). (Please ask your high school for details)
In addition, it is also possible to apply for "Student Recruitment" after enrollment.
◆ Type 1 Scholarship (no interest)
Have an average of 3.2 or higher in the final two years of high school or vocational high school. Selection will also take into consideration household standards.

6. Affiliated education loan

Model pattern of scholarship use


[Note 1] If you use our school's interest-free scholarship for 50,000 yen per month (2,400,000 yen for 4 years), 20,000 yen will be returned for 10 years from the second year after graduation. If you live or work in Hamada City as a physical therapist, occupational therapist, or speech pathologist for five years after graduation, you will be exempt from repayment after the sixth year.
[Note 2] If 50,000 yen per month (2,400,000 yen over 4 years) is used from the Japan Student Services Organization's scholarship (Type 2, interest-bearing), 16,769 yen will be repaid monthly over the 15 years after graduation, and 100,000 yen per month. If you use yen (4.8 million yen over 4 years), you will be repaid 26,914 yen per month for 20 years after graduation. (Assuming an interest rate of 3.0%)
